Ugong Rock Zipline - Puerto Princesa, Palawan

I first tried Zipline @ Siloso Beach in Singapore. Since then, I got addicted to the feeling of being free like a bird. I repeated the experience @ Picnic Grove in Tagaytay then this time its in Palawan.

Getting there, you need to take the way up inside Ugong Cave (experience will be discussed on my next post). There are 2 ways to go down. You may opt to take the same route going up or take the zipline. I forgot how many meters this zipline is but it only takes 21 seconds going down.

Trek Kasibu

Happy birthday to me.. ♪♫♫♪
Happy birthday to me...♫♫♪♫

This is the second year I'm doing something meaningful in time for my birthday. Last year, it was at Kibungan, Benguet and this year is for the kids of Kasibu, Nueva Vizcaya.

Too bad I wasn't able to come together with the group. I hope next year will be my first time to give my donations personally.

The group was able to distribute backpacks, sandals, boots, raincoats, school supplies, food, etc. to more than 150+ pre-school to 6th  grade Kalanguya children of the Atan Elementary School. Aside from this, the funds collected was able to build a decent toilet for the school. They also installed several solar panels with high intensity led lamps for lighting and a DC-AC inverter to power 220VAC cellphone chargers as well as other low power appliances.

Seeing these makes me feel great. Kids, thanks for making my birthday more meaningful:

Let's continue doing this.

Caleruega Church, Batangas

Caleruega Church is located in Nasugbu, Batangas. This is a prayer house which is also in-demand for weddings and retreat. In fact, if you want to book your wedding here, you need to do it one year ahead of time. If you're tired of the hustle and bustle of city life and want to be close with God and nature, you might want to consider dropping by.

Around the place is where you can find inner peace. Imagine seeing all these:

Breath-taking, right?

Camote Q

My apologies for the not-so-nice pic :P I took it using my webcam yesterday. I saw my officemates eating turon (fried banana wrapped in lumpia wrapper) last time so I asked them to buy me one. Our utility guy told me they also have camote (sweet potato) cue so I asked him to buy me one as well. Upon seeing the stuff, I realized that the last time I was able to eat this was when I was still an elementary student. Whew! That's ages ago LOL. Anyway, the taste brings me back to the time when everything was so simple. Going home from school wondering what my lola (grandmother) cooked for my meryenda (snack). The thought made me smirk. I miss the old days. I miss my younger days. Thanks to you, camote cue! You gave me a light feeling even for a while...

The best yoghurt I've ever tasted. It's a must-try!

Sunday night entertainment:

It's quite an experience spending a week here. The service, environment, food and accomodation was worth every penny you spent.
